Zeller Cellar Word Fun #13

Whew! It sure is windy. We have some Zeller Cellar windows open in order to air out the damp cellar which was closed up all winter. Hold on to your hat as we go down the stairs  again. Let’s pick from the Silly Sayings box as we did last month. Your turn again.

“Put your thinking cap on.”  Well, my hat is off to you, because you always pull great sayings out of the box. I love hats and I wear them as much as possible. There’s so many varieties.

The expression ‘thinking cap’ means to intensely focus on your thoughts.  It’s a way of telling someone they must put serious thought into something rather than make a quick decision. (from english-grammar-lessons.com)

So if someone asks you to “put your thinking cap on,” they want you to make a decision carefully or consider the possible results of an action you want to do.

Fun things to do

  1. Watch this video about the amazing things that can happen to you when you put your thinking cap on.
    1. Discover all the great hats that men wear around the world. Which one would you like to wear? (from mapsbyscott.com)
