We’re approaching the hottest time of the year here in the Northern Hemisphere. Many places have high humidity which makes the temperature feel even hotter. And the start of school is right around the corner. So besides being just plain hot from the weather, if you’re starting back to school, you may be nervous about the new school year. Both kids and teachers can feel anxious.
Let’s hope we find a message in the cellar that helps us. You pick this time from the Silly Sayings box. Well, this is great and perfect for what we’re talking about. “Cool as a cucumber.”
This Silly Saying has been around for hundreds of years. It means staying calm in times of pressure or stress, such as going back to school, starting at a new school, advancing from elementary school to junior high school or trying out for a team. New teachers and parents new to homeschooling might have the jitters, too.
