Get Your Feet Wet

This summer could be a great time to get your feet wet by exploring areas of interest. If you love the water or the ocean, there are many jobs you could do. If you love animals, engineering, archeology, scuba diving or sciences, you can combine that love with your love of the ocean. There are lots of careers that use both skills. Many of those jobs require a college degree.

College not your thing? Don’t worry. You could be a professional fisherman/woman or a commercial diver who fixes marine equipment or does underwater photography or filming. You could be a lifeguard or surfing teacher. How about being the captain of a ship and sailing in many parts of the world?

The websites below list a lot of potential jobs and give other sites to check out as well. Some of the salaries listed have probably increased since the article was written. Dip your toes in the water and see what’s possible for you.
